What's Your Mood?

During this standstill in our lives, we should all find ways to stay focused, ambitious and encouraged. I totally understand that there's only so much we can do, so let's focus on the options we do have. Surround yourself with great energy, positive people and things.

Color psychology is the affect that colors have on your mood. Yeah, I know, but it's a real thing. Color psychology suggests that various shades can have a wide range of effects, from boosting our moods to causing anxiety.

The color purple is often associated with royalty, nobility, luxury, power, and ambition. Purple also represents meanings of wealth, extravagance, creativity, wisdom, dignity, grandeur, devotion, peace, pride, mystery, independence, and magic.

Take a look at your wardrobe, your house decor etc. Is your mood being affected by the colors around you?

Perfect Spring Statement Jackets

Ok, So I know things are a bit rough right now with the coronavirus, but we WILL get through this. So be ready with your spring fits when we finally get to see outside again. This Camila Coelho Florencia Moto Jacket  is for sure an early spring favorite of mine. I love when a simple chill day look has a statement pieces. Keeping everything calm with that wow factor is the way I try and think about my looks. I've been eyeing this jacket for literally seven months. It was sold out, and in pre order for months, so you know I jumped on it when it became available.

This green faux fur added the best pop of color to my all black basic #OOTD.

The Missguided blue crop borg trucker jacket, Missguided Tall black vinyl faux fur aviator jacket and the Anine Bing Samone Jacket are great statement jackets to level up any chill day look. All under $200.
These other pieces from Isabel Marant, Alexander Wang and Maisie Wilen are a bit higher in price point but each great pieces to take a look to the next level.

Spring Ready!!

IT'S SPRING! ( I mean outside of " Rona " ). It's SPRING!!!!!!!
So I know it's hard to be happy about it because well #quarantine. But the truth is, nice weather is finally amongst us. And although the Winter wasn't as brutal as some of the past here in New York, I'm just happier to be closer to wearing really cute outfits that don't involve a giant coat.

I've loved fashion for a long time and this blog has been coming for a while but life happened, college happened, work happened and if we're being honest.. procrastination happened. BUT HERE WE ARE! Ready to share all that I know as a college graduate, retail enthusiast & experienced stylist.
We're gonna have a good time, I promise ;).

I'm vowing to remain consistent with blogging, creating content for my social media and bringing out all things lifestyle!
This monochromatic look is the first of many. My favorite part of Spring is bringing out all the light tones in my wardrobe.

Full Face Makeup Routine

Me and makeup kinda just started dating. So the relationship is new and fun! I started officially wearing makeup in college. My upbringing didn't really allow a beauty lane for me
( strict Haitian parents, what can I say ). But now I love it, it's fun and almost therapeutic. Eyeshadow is still a little struggle but nothing I won't learn soon! What I do have locked and loaded, is a neutral everyday look that KILLS. Of course, I wanted to share with you so here we are. Take a peek at my favorite products at the moment and how I use them. I hope you enjoy! Feel free to share your favs, I'm always looking to try newbies.

So 2020, This Is What I Need From You!

OK. Let's face facts, 2020? NOT CUTE. Can we say Happy New Year in like May or something? No? Ok fine. But see, here's the thing... I still have HIGH expectations of what this year will be for me, because #ideserve, duh!

2020 WILL consist of major self care. When I say MAJOR, I mean MAJOR!

Every year, as many people do; I create a New Years' resolution. My list usually consists of my body, money, career, relationship goals ( common, I know but still valuable ;) ) Each year I find myself creating this redundant list. Mind you, the list consists of the same things from the year before. Which means, I never actually reach any of my goals. So I figured it was about time I tried something new. My 2020 dedication is pretty simple; CARING FOR THY SELF!. Yup! self-care. This may seem pretty simple, and I'm sure you're thinking "why do I need to dedicate an entire year to a nail appointment?".

Self-care to me goes beyond laid edges and a fresh acrylic set. I need mental, emotional, physical and spiritual balance this year.
Maybe it's the Gemini in me, but I've always felt like one side of me was Beyonce. Focused, driven, ambitious and creative. While the other side is more of an Eeyore vibe. So my goal this year is to find my balance within the two. So I vow to be lazy when I deserve to be, ambitious, focused and creative every other time. Last year? hmm.. do we even need to talk about it? I mean not really, right? Because it wasn't the best and what's behind me shall remain there so GOOD RIDDANCE 2019, & HEYYYYYYY 2020.
So! To get this going and going good, I've made a list of pretty cool things that either resinate with the lifestyle that again #ideserve or that just really mean a lot to me and the consistency I want to create for ME. Here we go... I'm very excited to be sharing this journey with you.
